BIANA S.A. is occupied since 1960 with the production of Breathing Protection Means, such as:
Masks and Gas Filters of various types for the Industry, the Navy, the Agriculture, the Police, the Army and the Civil Defense, as well as
Air Supply Systems for the supply of air at confined spaces with lack of oxygen etc.
The founder of BIANA is Mr. Antonios Anargyrou (1907-1999) and the name “BIANA” is an akronym with “BI” from Greek word for factory and “ANA” from the familyname Anargyrou. And the first samples of gasmask were developed in the attic of his factory at that time, which produced nils and springs:

Our masks are manufactured with our own exclusive technology, which initially has been developed by studying similar foreign products. However, the 45-year old acquisition of know-how in this field, as well as the current scientific knowledge, led us to products purely of our own design, at a fully equipped privately owned plant:

Briefly we would like to inform you about our company that:
- In 1972 has been re-located at the industrial area of Koropi, at a 6.000 m2 privately owned field.
- The buildings occupy today 2.500 m2.
- Has a complete installation for production, research and training.
- Every investment for the development of its products is made solely by the company.
- Has a full vertically organized production for gas masks and filters.
- Today the company’s capital is 550.000 €.
- Since 1997 the company has developed a Quality Assurance System according to AQAP 110 (the equivalent to ISO 9001 regarding the defense sector), which in 2002 had been upgraded to the ISO 9001:1994 and in 2004 has been upgraded to ISO 9001:2000.
- Is one of the few companies in the world that has the ability to perform chemical tests with real Chemical Warfare Agents and biological tests with laboratory microbes!
- Today is occupying 35 people, of which 4 are scientists of highest level of education.
- Is cooperating in research programs with the Highest Educational Institutes of our country.
- Its products have an NSN (ΝΑΤΟ STOCK NUMBER) and are exported in Arabian as well as European countries.
- Has also moved in the development of antidotes and decontamination agents.
- Finally, there are also constant requirements for know-how transfer from foreign countries, for the:
- Installation of mask and filter manufacturing plants, as well as for the
- Installation of quality control and research laboratories for these items.
Our long lasting activities as manufacturers of such items have granted us with a valuable Know-How in the Greek market, in which we possess a unique place in the manufacturing field of masks and filters, the production of which continues regularly up to now:

Today our company has vertically organized the production of masks and filters by obtaining contemporary equipment of rubber and plastic processing. We retain the quality of our products with the development and installation of pioneer devices of our own design, regarding the production, as well as the quality control:

For this reason, our products fulfill even the most severe requirements. The current production capacity of our company reaches up to 250 masks and 2.000 filters of chemical war in 24 hours!
